How to use

Domperidone is a prokinetic. It acts to get the content of the stomach empty faster. The condition is improved by increasing the movement of the intestines, allowing the food to move easier within the stomach.
Omeprazole belongs to the category of drugs called as a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It's main action is a long-lasting reduction of stomach acid production that helps relieve acid related indigestion and heartburns.

Usage of proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole has been seen to be connected with an increase in chromogranin levels. Magnesium levels should be tested at constant intervals in the patients practicing Omeprazole for a long duration.

Omeprazole is available when prescribed by a doctor. It is not a controlled substance.

Q. Can Omeprazole be used in cardiac patients?
Patients with cardiac disease can take Omeprazole. Still, Omeprazole can communicate with certain drugs (e.g clopidogrel, digoxin) which might be practiced by a patient with an underlying cardiac disease.
